I installed it but do not like the way the oil filler cap fits. I recently bought a used valve cover on eBay and had it chromed. Triumph's were notorious for running hot, hence the oil cooler and extra fan. The car is stock except I converted the cartridge oil filter to a spin-on filter, installed an electronic ignition system, installed an oil cooler, and installed a thermostat controlled fan for extra cooling. This gasket has been designed with a semi-circular cross section to better fit these valve covers. Also fits Morgan models using this Triumph 4 cylinder engine. This includes the TR2, TR3, TR3A, TR3B, TR4, TR4A. It starts easily now and the wipers work, both low and high speed. This gasket fits the stock stamped steel valve cover used on all the Triumph 'Tractor' 4 cylinder engines (1991cc, 2138cc). They tuned the carburetors and installed a new control head. I took it in to University Motors last year for repairs because it was a hard starter and there was also a short in the wipers. There are some minor blemishes in the paint. The car has never been rained on but it does have a tonneau cover and a convertible top, both of which are in the trunk. Triumph had released the svelte new TR4, but sales were initially disappointing, particularly in the USA. The final version of the TR3 came in 1962. At 58,236 cars, this is the most common of TR2/TR3 series. and started importing bicycles from Europe and selling them under his own trade name in London. I installed a new door skin on the driver's door, two new rocker supports and rocker panels, driver's side floor pan, and a new four part rear fender on the driver's side. Ensure that the cork washer is undamaged and shellaced to the cover, otherwise oil may leak through the joint. The body was not removed from the frame as the car had leaked so much oil that the underside was completely coated and the frame was preserved.
